Bellatrix SME Finance (Pty) Ltd is a Namibian registered and licensed financial service provider offering purchase order finance, invoice discounting facilities and guarantees to Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) with purchase orders, supply contracts or approved invoices from central government, local government (regional and town councils), state-owned enterprises and reputable private companies.
In addition, the company provides Sustainable (Green) Finance through the Green Credit Line Facility (GCLF). The GCLF is a green blended finance product with the aim of availing sustainable capital to MSMEs and Start-ups to meet their sustainable finance needs through concessional loans (bridge finance & term loans), guarantees (performance & financial guarantees) and equity funding.
The company was established in 2019 with a mere N$250 000 equity capital from shareholders. To date, Bellatrix has disbursed over 700 procurement-based loans to MSMEs. This growth is synonymous with the name Bellatrix, the third brightest star in the constellation of Orion in the night sky. The name echoed Bellatrix’s mission of becoming the nation’s largest and preferred financial service provider for MSMEs and Startups.
