Purchase Order Finance

Bellatrix SME Finance provides funding to SMEs with Purchase Orders or supply contracts to supply goods or complete a project. SMEs can use the facility to buy materials, to pay for transport and labor.

Facility Conditions

  • Loan repayment period of 60 days (2 months).

  • Loan facility can cover up to 100% of Purchase Order’s value.

  • Approved funds will be paid to suppliers based on submitted quotations.

  • Cession Agreement (Project proceeds to be paid into Bellatrix’s bank account).

Application Process

  • 1SME applies for Purchase Order Financing from Bellatrix SME Finance.
  • 2SME, Bellatrix and the Buyer/Purchase Order Issuer(off-taker) to sign a cession agreement cession for the project payments to be made into Bellatrix’s bank account.
  • 3SME signs a contract with Bellatrix to acknowledge receipt of loan facility.
  • 4Bellatrix pays the SME’s suppliers to deliver goods or material required for the project.
  • 5Purchase Order Issuer pays progress payments/project proceeds to Bellatrix Capital upon project completion.
  • 6Bellatrix deducts principal amount and interest and pays net amount to SME.

Invoice Discounting

The process involves buying outstanding invoices at a discount from SME, pays the SME
immediately and collects payment from the debtors when the invoices are due. Invoices can be discounted at 10% over a maximum period of 30 days or 15% over a period of 60 days

Facility Conditions

  • Products or service must be delivered before processing the facility.

  • Debtor must be happy with products or services.

  • Debtor must be Central Government, Regional Councils, Local Authorities (town councils/municipalities), State-owned Enterprises (SOEs) or a Reputable Private Company.

  • Invoice must be issued.

  • Maximum Loan repayment period of 60 days (2 months).

  • Loan facility can cover up to 90% of invoice value.

  • Cession Agreement (invoiced amount to be paid into Bellatrix’s bank account).

  • 5Bellatrix pays up to 90% of the invoice value to SME.
